rodbuilders ?

Hey fella's

After seeing Bunny's work , I am pretty keen to find out more about building up a rod.

Is there a particularly good site with all the info, from knowing nothing to completing a first rod??

Any advice or tips please.

Check out mudhole.com- lots of info on there and blanks and components.

I used to make my own bream rods which were awesome.  One weighed 45gr that I used for small vibes and blades.  The others were plastic rods and were around the 70gr mark.  The best way to keep them light I found was to use a tube piece of cork then actually bind the reels on with tennis raquet overgrip.  Recoil guides and a fuji sic tip.  When hooking decent bream over the kilo mark you could really feel the entire outfit moving under each lunge the fish did.  Unreal to fish from.

Hey mate this link might help. I scour the net on fishing forums like this for tips and tricks. A lot have their own rod building sections and some are rod building only. Plus I pick the brain of the local rod builder from time to time!!
