In the market for a lighter placcy rod to suit my c14 4000 with 15lb line. I want it to be about 7 ft maybe bit longer in length, to flick light placcies in 10 to 20 metres of water and to be able to cast at least 40 gram stickbaits like bullchops etc to the reefs for tailor, small kings etc. Not mega expensve either.

I tried the Nitro, did not like it, too tip heavy for light soft plastics work but felt like it would be great for stickbaiting.
I ended up with the Samurai 302 single piece. Awesome rod but really only good for 12 lb line and 1/2 Oz jigheads with 5 inch softies. At the limit with 75 cm pinkie in 20m. Good for light stickbaits but bullchops too heavy for this rod.
402 would be better for 15 lb and bullchops stickbaiting, but I tried the 2 piece and felt a bit tip heavy for soft plastics and not as balanced as single piece, but I guess much easier to transport.
Bottom line, I doubt you will get the perfect rod for both light 1/2 oz soft plastics and stickbaiting bullchops. Get two rods or one compromise.......
Boston Whaler 235 Conquest......getting the flogging it was built for.

Do yourself a favour have a
Do yourself a favour have a look at the Shakespeare slingshots 7'0 rated to 10 kg I just used one at the abrolhos caught heaps of pinkies and trout pinkies were 6 - 10 kg fish
the rod was fantastic for plastics, it's graphit so light as cost $60 and all the guys at getaway use them and love them, don't go and spend 200 on a rod without looking at these ffirst I pairs it with my daiwa aird 4000 15 lb line and had a ball catching some big ffish also used it casting bullchops for trout casts a mile and even got 2 trout on the surface awesome.
You don't need to spend a lot of money to get good gear just need to know what to look for
