Hi guys
Im after some advice suggestions on a couple of rods to add to the stockpile:
1) baitcaster- around 30lb, 6.5 foot: to be used in airly heavy saltwater applications, paired with a abu revo toro spooled with 30lb. about the only things ive found that come close to fitting the bill are a daiwa zillion rod and the egrell bear B6 (havent seen one of these in the flesh yet, if anyone has, what are they like?)... both the tcurve and gloomis range dont seem to have something quite heavy enough...?
2) spin: about 6.5-7 ft: 20lb, paired will a sol 4000... fast action etc... for plastics/ stickbaits/ metals etc.. any suggestions?
dont mind paying somewhere around the $200-400 for each...
thanks in advance for any advice

T-curve
I've got a revo toro with 30lb braid and the t-curve it is on (rated 6-12kg) does the job pretty well. Probably wouldn't fish anything heavier through it though.

I used to run 30lb through a t-curve 5-10kg. They can push out some serious power :p. I was running 5kg drag and the rod held up fine (bent a fair bit though :p). Perhaps not too recommended, and obviously you work rod angles, but I was surprised how far I could push it (was still almost 90 degrees with that rating).
Now been retired and swapped for a hearty rise jig force. The eupro twin craft have about that rating, but i dont know how well they are setup as a baitcaster. Depends whether you're casting a lot with it or more using it for driftbaiting and the like out of a boat.
For the spin rod, have a look at the TD saltwaters. One piece, super punchy, loads of power in the butt. Just dont get one if you're primarily fighting fish that are below the boat, but definitely have a look if you want to punch lures out and fight fish away from you.

Hey mate, as far a the spin
Hey mate, as far a the spin rod goes i would look into a the Daiwa Sol 701HFS (10lb to 20lb) I have one matched to a certate 3500 and its a killer stick. I would also have a look at the Heartland in the same weight range, my mate has one and its of very similar quality. Both price from between 200 and 300 bucks. Hope that helps mate.
