Reeltime Mag - Reader's Contributions

With the Exmouth comp coming up and Gamex next week, I thought it would be timely to encourage any forum member who has a camera and a keyboard to have a crack at writing an article for Issue 3 of the magazine. (maximum 1000 words)

Keys to a good "Reeltime" article (in order of priority) are:

  1. Great Pics and lots of them (must not have been posted before on this or any other forum)
  2. Great video of interesting stuff, exciting action footage or footage of something "different" or a "how to" video telling us how you rig up etc.
  3. A great story or great angle on a subject.

All vids can be cut by the writers or given to Adam or myself to edit up with some appropriate background music.

I will be judging who's article goes into the mag and I will be working on announcing a suitable prize for the winner in the near future.

So get your cameras out, start snapping away. The story doesn't have to be anything to do with Exmouth, its just that a lot of you guys will be heading up there for a week or so of hard core fishing. There are a lot more guys staying put and they certainly won't be disadvantaged as a great article is a great article no matter what the subject or location. I'd love to see a few of our younger forumites have a crack (lord knows their English and grammar is probably a lot better than some of us oldies.)

Unsuccessful article submissons will either be held over for a subsequent issue or posted on Fishwrecked in an article format.

Let us know if you are interested. Then send your thumbnail pics and completed story to fishwreckedemag@bigpond.com or alternatively burn it all (including video footage) onto a disc in high res and mail together with your username to :

I will contact all submitters and offer some feedback before final selection.

I will leave the submission date as open as possible but to be in Issue 3 I would have to have a completed article by 31/5/09.

So have a go, its actually quite rewarding to see a completed article go to print (or in this case to pixel) and what better way to display your pics than in WA's Interactive Online Fishing Magazine.

Fishing or Diving

Basically anything you would want to see in the mag. Could be 4WD, beach fishing etc. Location related, species related, technique related, the choice is yours.
Only limits are your imagination.
Even fictitional stories would work as long as they are clearly "fictitional"Wink

With or without video, but plenty of good quality pics are essential.

See what I can do Andy

I WAS supposed to catch up with Dave and go bream fishing this weekend - but the car prang saw to that (insert lots of swearing here).

But, if the situation presents itself, I'll see what I can do.

I'll see what I can come up with for something on the Quobba stones, spinning or something. Would certainly love to be in the mag.

"holy sh!t, did you see that?"
