Raymarine Dragonfly Transducer Mounting

Hi Everyone

Ive just purchased the Raymarine Dragonlfy and installing onto a Carribean Offshore

Just wondering if anyone has any pictures of their Raymarine Dragonfly transducer mounted to their boat. Any tips? Obviously every boat is different but would like to hear what other Dragonfly users have encountered.

Cheers

Chris

Watching this thread closely

I've got one myself on the Thunderbird.

Placed it 1/2 Above/Under between chines on the correct side of the prop wash but i'm getting signal loss above 7 - 8knots (Sometimes worse)

Could just be the old Thunderbird is pedantic about Transducer placement or it's just better off with a Through-Hull

Drop it lower. Mine sits well under the hull line now. No problem holding the bottom over 20knots

Does placing the transducer

Does placing the transducer on one particular side of the prop actually make any difference? Has anyone place the trans on the portside?

Shouldn't matter if at least

Shouldn't matter if at least 30cm away from motor.
I have a HDS and have the normal 50/200hz on the left (port) side and the structure scan transducer on the right (wasn't fussed with overlay so distance between the two not concerning to me)

 Mine was about 50mm under

Mine was about 50mm under the bottom of the hull. Most people say its too low but no worries at 20kt+ . If you search dragonfly and find my post there are mounted pictures.
