G'day guys recently I got a drag net from a family friend and was wondering if there was anywhere to try for some prawns I was thinking about heading down to the swan with my mate and a few beers just for the hell of it just curious to know if anyone has been having any luck
Cheers

Think Handtrawl nets in swan are only banned between 1st August and the 31st October ...

Them Where The Days
Used to go every second weekend as a kid, once upon a time. I here a disease went threw the Swan and kiiled the lot (prawns). I was a Mandurah as a kid and saw cobblers dead everywhere on the shores about the same time. Who knows, have tried prawning since and only blowies and jellyfish. I still have a net for prawning, took the kids and girlfriend with her kidsin hope to applecrss to trawl for prawns, only blowies and jellyfish. Oh I wish so much to see lanterns along the Swan at night again, seeing families prawning and having a good time. Last time I saw a good time was wankers drunk and drugged abusing me fishing on the Swan.

Prawn diving
Has anyone been diving for prawns recently?
I last tried a couple of months ago - crap vis and no prawns then.
But I have heard one report of a good haul a couple of weeks ago.
Gonna try this weekend - just wondered if the vis is clearing up...
Save the Whales! May as well - they won't fit in my catch bag!!!

best bet is a dip prawning
best bet is a dip prawning net from a boat or jetty down in the lower reaches of the swan around march / april with a strong outgoing tide after the first rain, at night with a good light!....get all that, if the planets align, you'll get a good feed of nice big prawns...
