Pink bash

Took young Wayne out. Topped of with 30 squid on way in. Great morning . 1 thing I have noticed over the last 30 years chasing pinks. No one gives a crap about anchoring on top of people. Just common courtesy leave enough room for people to cast , pretty simple. Will save arguements on water. Hasn't happens to me yet this year , but I have heard few reports last few days people being very game basically dropping anchor in others boats. There like blowies ATM . You will find people move soon as limit is caught 95 percent of time. Evenings and early morn not the only time you catch. Still tides high and low you will always do good.. doesn't matter about times. :).

boats dropping in on you
Hey Little Johnny, You are spot on mate about boats dropping right on you. I was out last night and couldn't believe some of the carry on. I got out at 4pm to get on a spot, anchor up, put some burley in and start to fish. I was about 30m from the nearest boat so not muscling in on him. Within an hour there were 10 boats around us and two came in between us but went a bit further on, no probs. One boat then turned up drove around me and then came up behind me and anchored approx 10 metres away. he then let out anchor rope which put him next the other boat. He stayed there to close which had his baits drifting into the other boats area. 30 minutes later he pulls anchor and moved about 10 mteres further away. At one point he was that close to me I could have read his text messages on his phone. Last year in the same spot I had about 30 boats in the area but everyone was respectful and gave some distance, it was even fun listening to them when someone caught a pinky and a cheer went up. Last night was just painful..
Anyway, nice pinks buddy, hopefully I'll get the same soon.

Agree 100 percent
About spawn season. On the positive side makes easy pickings for young kids to catch big fish in close . Nothing can beat that. Priceless in my books:):)

Respect phffft
What's that, no I don't believe it's because you are young
litteandy sadly there are some people who in my opinion are just ignorant of what manners and respect mean. And it isn't always those with the floating gin palaces either, from large boats to small dinghies that IMO should not be out in such conditions or so far from land you will come across nasty buggers with not the slightest bit of common sense or respect.
When you get people who hook a decent fish and are so close to another boat that the fish they have on goes around the nearest boats anchor rope then you get the ugly side of peoples make up come out and be on display. That's one of the reasons I like to fish away from the common known places, I might not catch a lot of fish, but hey 1 good pinkie is enough for me and the wife.

same as cray fish season
Pink fever and cray fever, it gets people a bit nuts. I have been out snapper fishing and have watched guys on a boat not to far away from me bag out, pull their anchor and head off. I subsequently moved over to where they were and boom, got my two snapper straight away and went home. I didn't have to go over there while they were catching because it was like Little Johnny said, most people do move on once they have their bag.. Cray season can be the same when one day you have a bit of ground to your self and the next you have half a dozen pots right on top of yours.. That's fishing for you....
