Sherbie got a Piercing today for his birthday, he may have been trying for a Prince Albert but missed.

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.

Same
Seen those hooks before while shark fishing up north, probably on the same boat.
Mate got one of them in his hand, went in between forefinger and thumb and followed the finger or should I say ,the finger followed the curve of the hook. Only the eye and about 1/2 inch of shank was visible, worse part for him was that he had a choice, 6 hour steam in or wait till we had pulled the line next morning and then we steam in as planned. Few beers and panadiene forte to keep him quiet and it was 20 hours later when we got him to hospital for it to be cut out.
For those who use tuna circles, if you get one in you take an identical hook in with you because a lot of doctors haven't seen their shape and they need to be cut out not just twisted as normal hooks are.

You are right on this
But you can still get a circle out once you know what you are dealing with without the knife.
I know, had one in the finger and pushed it through, No way was I going to motor back after only fishing for 5 minutes.
But Carnarvonite is correct. The traditional "string pull" wont work as the circle wont disinpact, and it is certainly harder to push through under local (or not) compared to a J hook.
Lastly if it wont come out a small nick usually works with the wonderfull Dr's words "this may sting a little".
