Perth Landbased Fishing Club - New members
The Offshore Angling Club of WA is looking for new members to join its ranks, men, women, vets and junior members alike.
OSACWA is a long established club, over 60 years old with 100's of years of collective angling experience among its current members.
If you are a land based angler, of any skill level looking to get out and fish more regularly with likeminded people feel free to take a look at our clubs website and make some enquiries.
The upcoming field day in October (5th and 6th) is a go anywhere field day, which is a perfect opportunity for persons interested in joining the club to come along and see what the club is all about, pick the brains of the more experienced anglers and of course catch some fish!
The club’s definition of go anywhere is between Bremer Bay and Carnarvon, but generally there is discussion at the Club meeting prior as to where members are likely to fish allowing members (and guests) to make arrangements to meet up with others at a location if they wish to fish with other club members. Club meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month, please see the events page on the website or download the current Fish Tales magazine for details of when and where the upcoming field days are.
The club is currently offering up a 15.5ft Snyderglass surf rod (used only once!) to the first new genuine / bona fide, paid up member (accepted by the committee / president) who joins via a completed application form (available on its website), OR to an existing member whom refers a new member to the club who is subsequently accepted. (I will of course remove myself from consideration for this if the first new member is a Fishwrecked member to make sure there is no conflict of interest).
At time of posting the rod is still available, but there is only 1 and it could be won at any time! (also advertised on the facebook page) The winner of the rod will be presented with it at the first club meeting that they attend. If there are multiple new members this will add to the suspense. It is also a 1pc rod so hopefully the successful new member or referring existing member has roof racks!
