One session in Kalbarri fish
One session in Kalbarri fish with a friend I was using a HRT small fry fom a kayak and casting in towards a rocky cove about 5km upstream in the murchison. It was a hit a cast and maybe a fish every 1.5 for atleast an hour or so. caught mangrove jack, bream, moses perch, javelin fish, tailor, estuary cod and even hooked and lost a giant herring of about 40cm! back in perth it's my go to flatty/bream lure in shallow water, it just gets me everything!

Had an amazing session a number of years back on the Fitzroy with a Tilsan Barra. Was out on my own scoping out new snags and came across one where I caught heaps of good sized Barra on a pink Tilsan. It was probably my best ever session on Barra in terms of size and quantity of fish. I thought to myself that I should retire "Mr.Pink" in order to remember the session but figured I'd give it one last cast before doing so. Sure enough I finally got stiched up and lost "Mr.Pink" to a Barra.
The following weekend I took some mates out to show them the spot. It didn't go off the way it had for me but we still landed a few nice Barra. A one stage though, one of them was winding back his lure when he started feeling a bit of resistence. He pulled in his lure to find its back trebles had snagged up the back trebles of "MR.PINK"! So after catching heaps of decent fish, getting monstered by a Barra and spending a lonely week in the depths of the Fitzroy river, "Mr.Pink" had returned to me. After an extended philisophical debate regarding the concept of "finders-keepers" and a brief scuffle with my mate, I was able to get back "Mr.Pink", who now holds a treasured resting place in my tackle cupboard where he remains safe and dry

On a trip to Steep point i had a Nilsmaster invincible 15cm in brown, it was nicknamed the blowie or the dog turd by some of my fishing mates. But once it started to clean up on the Macs the other two in my box grew in value. Sometimes the strangest looking lures work the best
