Hillarys
Best to launch at Hillarys as the waters are protected. A lot of reef just north of the marina and also reef offshore around little island (about 1.5nm offshore) is also good. Catch herring, skippy KG's and tailor early morning. May also be some squid around over the weedbanks. If able to get west of little island there is reef (does not break depth is 9 - 15 mtrs) about another 1.5nm offshore where you may get snapper, larger skippy and the possibility of Yellowtail Kingfish this time of year. There is a gap in the reef west of Hillarys that will allow you to get out but keep a look out for the reef. Should show up as low tide in the morning. Gap is about 150m wide.

safer heading out of ocean
safer heading out of ocean reef.
less to run in to by a long way if you don't have chartplotter
sound around to find decent drop off , anchor and burley. never know what you might get .
(if it.s not happening after an hour , move)
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.
