Nice dhue ( my squid rod)

Was going for kgs , gave me a workout. Coughed up 2 fish size of herring when it hit deck. I can not figure out what they are ,to me they look identical to Redfin perch.( impossible) any ideas?

The hooks
Only a small hoodlum and a 3 o beak hook (snell) . Only thin strips of squid . But normally does well on kgs

I got a dhu on Monday - first for a while so i was pretty happy
Although i was fishing for dhues so not as stoked as you would have been
When i lived in Perth and had a cracking KG spot out from Ocean Reef, I also used 3/0s
The KGs were all around 50 cm - i would have dropped to 2/0 for smaller fish
