Hey mate, missus did exactly
Hey mate, missus did exactly the same thing recently. After everyone argued about what to do (wet and dry vac was discussed) we decided to bite the bullet and call the carpet guys. 3 nights of industrial fans blowing wasn't the best but atleast it was fixed. Gives you the peace of mind there won't be any mold in the future. I would definitely recommend this as the water had pooled under the carpet in places I certainly didn't expect.
Good luck
