New rod- Samurai NV8

Got my first custom built rod recently. You may have seen the recent report on how it went. It's a Samurai NV8 blank rated 8-10 kilos and 7 foot long. It's perfectly suited to 30lb braid which is what I got it for. It's mated up to a Shimano Stella 5000 SW with 30lb Whiplash.
I wanted a good spinning set up for chasing Tuna along with the other types of fishing I do. I just couldn't find a factory rod that suited what I wanted. This one is 100% Carbon. The rod builder was Paul Herron.
By the way I really like the Alps VX guides I got for this. The frame is marine grade (SS316) Stainless and the ring is Titanium Nitride coated Zirconia. It's harder than Alconite so it's not just for looks.
Here are some pics.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

He gave me a discount and I
He gave me a discount and I got it for $350. It would have been 400. The blank cost around $140 and the guides about $50 to $60. The Alps reel seat was around 30 and I'm not sure of the butt cap, grips etc but that's a great price for the work he did on it. I should have put a pic up be he even did a custom sticker in the split butt section!
