Didn't a guy on this forum

Didn't a guy on this forum lose a Stella when his monster mesh rod snapped? Daiwa sent him a demon blood in compensation! Get a demon blood!

 that was on the original

that was on the original Monster Mesh, not the MM Max. Havent seen any faults with the Maxes yet. certainly are a good rod, but not so much for demersal. Stick with something like a Demon Blood 64 Combi Jerk. Pe2-4. Perfect action, bit more length for action of plastics/jigs. Most of all, parabolic. Definitely worth the extra bit of coin.

 high sticked, no doubt. All

high sticked, no doubt. All rods will snap if fished incorrectly, especially graphite. I will still go a demon blood over a deep jig tcurve, and you may know the reason.... ;)

I got one

Don't worry about one breaking, it is a good sambo rod.

demersal jigging you are looking closer to pe 3.

head to a good tackle store and listen to their ideas. Otherwise plenty of guys upgrade here so put a want to buy and will get some attention.

if you are keen on the monster mesh pe 6 I have one in spin you can buy from me if you want, but won't sell it to you if you want a demersal jigger. I have t Curve 200 and slightly prefer it as it is lighter, though quite like the monster mesh too.

plenty of info on jigging rods if you search this site too.

PE 6-8 is way too heavy of demersal jigging.  Go have a chat with one of the tackle shop guys and they'll steer you in the right direction. Was the older model Monster mesh that snapped.  But it was the popper/jigger PE 4-6.  I just bought a Black Hole Hurricane PE 0.9-2.5 which I'll use for all my demersal jigging.  Nice little rod. Also remember with your demersal jigging, a slightly longer rod will give you a better jig action fluttering around on the bottom.  Around the 6'- 6'6" mark.

happy shopping mate!

I have a soft spot for N.S. rods. Had my eye on a pe 2-5 Sea Fork for a while. fantastic rods. But i have a custom now, so that filled the spot lol

Thu, 2012-11-15 09:47

Hi mate, Agree the PE6-8 rod is too heavy for demersal jigging though we can show you a few different rods instore that will be suitable aswell as info on jigs, leaders, terminal and all the rest on demersal jigging if you like.
