New Braid Suggestions
Submitted by Leemo on Tue, 2012-09-11 10:34
G'day guys. Looking around for a new range of braid to try out, peferably ranging from 6lb to 14lb. Hopefully around the 60 dollar retail mark. I've looked into Unitika and the likes, but are a little pricey. I'm really looking for something that you don't usually find in your average BCF or bluewater.
Any suggestions?
Cheers, Leemo.

Daiwa tournament hyper PE! So
Daiwa tournament hyper PE! So smoooooooth. Got some on one of my reels and its still silky smooth (and unlike some grey super smooth varivas I used to have it hasnt started breaking randomly).
Lowest breaking strain is 10lb though. Would really like to find something equivalent in 6 or 8lb though. Would be nice if under 20lb came in 300m too..
But still about the nicest smoothest braid i've used.

Platypus Super-Braid. I've
Platypus Super-Braid. I've only used the 2lb version but I'm very impressed with it. Very thin, breaks higher than rated, supple, easy to knot & as yet I havn't had any wind knots. Been on the reel for about 9 months & it's still as good as the day I put it on there, the colour hasn't even run out of it.
