Navman Fishfinder 4600 / Navman Tracker 5600

Hi all. Just after a bit of advice.
I have been offered a Navman Fishfinder 4600 & Navman Tracker 5600. (6 1/2" screens)
The guy wants about $900 for the pair.
Has anyoneone had any experiance with these. If so are they any good and user friendly.
Or should I spend a bit more and go with something a bit newer.
Any advice would be much appriciated.
Cheers all.

NAVMAN
i had both of those units on my previous boat and found to be a very good unit for the money, now they would be just over $ 1100 ea and then you would need the GPS map , but they are a good easy unit to use

Same
I have the same units and find them, especially the GPS easy to use. With the sounder unless you are going deep deep it will do fine.My son and Adam have the smaller screen sounders and we all have no problems at finding fish, new bottom etc.Its not the sounder, its recognising what you are seeing on the screen.
For that price if it includes the C map is a real bargain, even without the map its a good price

Advice!
I do like the Navman Trackers, I have one on my Exmouth boat and easy to use menu's. As for the sounder, they do the job and have owned one also but I did have issues with it (screen going blank). At $900 that's a good buy....conundrum!
If you want to spend more money on the sounder then look at the FCV620 Furuno, that's what I've matched up with my Navman Tracker!

sounders
I have only used Lowrance or Humminbird.
The side imaging humminbird is a choice unit but like anything it has to suit your fishing style and I use it for both estuary and offshore.
But most importantly learn how to use/read the sounder. This is the key!!
Dont see a need to purchase an expensive unit if you can't use it. No problem starting with these units at that price and then once you are confident upgrade.

i have both, currently going to get rid of both aswell, as im upgrading.
Im hoping for 800-1k for them too. so seems like a good price :)
Very good units, never had a problem with them, but not good enough for deeper water for me.
