Well this trip wasnt as good as last due to going earlier in the year and copping wind and swell. We couldnt get out to our fav spots but hey its away from work and some spectacular scenery.
Grab a beer, sit back and enjoy .
I cant wait to get back to gods country, the Pilbara.....

Im pretty sure that they follow the boat some days,nothing like going out to wandoo and have them turn up straight away but it sure sucks coming from Perth to tangle with them.Top vid though

Yeah its a catch 22. You use wire and you going to be hookup for a while and very sore the next day. Use leader and you will go through so much tackle and loose mackies and good fish with teeth :(

those fish your wondering about are Painted Grinners, commonly know as Lizard Fish. Very good bait for bottom species

Brought one up a while back
Brought one up a while back and it had a small 60-70kg black marlin sussing it out. Got the adreniline pumpin that's for sure. Left it about 10m down but it decided to bugger off, was spewing!

Was that the night one where it cut through the anchor rope? If so that was the cliffs near sea ripple passage. If it was the small one during the day that was a creek near point sampson boatramp :).

we call them lizardfish, not
we call them lizardfish, not sure about their proper name but they are known lure takers and bait stealers when over sandy bottom, supposed to be a good mackerel bait...
