yeah it was quite cold still out deep but was just under 24 when got back in around garden island, we saw nice bait balls in close to rotto but same as u nothing chasing them sadly.
Only landed 2 so far this year, theyre around, lot of water in between though. Water in close has been 23-24 degrees for a while now. Been nice yellowfin not too far out in the slightly cooler water. Just gotta put the time in.
Yeah...Only ever pulled them at the Abrohlos, but didn't think there was any reason for the timing other than birds or a slow bite with the demersal to have a troll.
My understanding is they can't adjust their pupils in their eyes so you are more likely to catch them lower in the water column through the middle of the day.
