Straight up, I hate both these pricks. Floyd is a woman beating bastard that doesn't give a stuff about anything but the mighty dollar & the other is a disrespectfull wanker that dodges legit contenders (thanks to Dana White) & has never defended a UFC belt. So in my ideal world, Connor head kicks Floyd. That way I get to see one arsehole get KTFO & the other arsehole not get paid a red cent. Realisticly this fight goes one of two ways. 1: Connor gets in a lucky left & KO's Floyd. 2: Floyd works over Connor & gets the decision. Connor's chances depend on what the fine print in the contract says. It's well known that Connor won't get paid if he employs "MMA tactics" but what are they classed as? Does the fine print say Connor can't feint strikes with illegal limbs then throw a punch or does it just say he can't throw a kick, get a TD etc etc? If Connor can still use his legs to feint, Floyd's screwed. Would be so easy to feint a kick, that Floyd will instinctivly attempt to defend with a left hook hidden behind it. Night night Floyd. How about a spinning back fist? Not a boxing technique but still a strike with the hand. If none of that is allowed & it has to be toe to toe boxing type strikes, Floyd should win easily.
When it's all said & done, hopefully Floyd just goes back into retirement & Connor takes his money & retires from combat sports as well. Then we never have to hear from either of these idiots again.

Surely you are being sarcastic? The best since Ali? He's never defended a title & ducks legit contenders, so you can't base that off fighting. He's not even in the top 20 best ever in the UFC, let alone boxing. If you mean the crap he talks, it's well known that he has professional writers that come up with his lines for him. He's a very talented fighter, no denying it but he is a product of the UFC hype machine because they needed a european star to break into the european market. You want a true showman, try Chael Sonnen (crap fighter though). Connor's opponents were hand picked for him because the UFC couldn't afford for him to lose. Now he's allowed to do what ever he likes because the company is in massive debt & he's the only real star they have left. So how the hell do you come up with him being the best since Ali? BTW, IMO he lost the 2nd Diaz fight fairly clearly & everyone knows he was saved by the bell or he would of been choked out again. Nice try casual fan, but you obviously don't really know that much of what you are talking about.

Glad it's for the talk but I'm not kidding about the professional script writers he has coming up with these lines for him. Before he got in the UFC he was respectful towards his opponents. Joins the UFC & the 4.1 billion dollar PR machine went to work building the star they needed for the market they were trying to break into. When he can't slip in one of the prepared lines the only thing he does is carry on about money & make derogatory comments about his opponent. Nothing Ali like about that. As far as I know, Ali came up with most, if not all of his stuff himself (correct me if I'm wrong). There are plenty of better trash talkers in the UFC. Most people just don't get to hear about them because the UFC isn't running massive PR campaigns for them like they are for Connor.
As for the spinning backfist. Why not? It's a strike with the hand, so I think technically legal in boxing but it's an mma technique. My point was about what the fine print in the contract said about Connor being allowed to employ such techniques. I would hazard a guess that the contract stipulated no such techniques were allowed to be used even though stricly speaking, it would of been legal as far as boxing rules go. If you think it's a technique that doesn't work, then have a quick youtube of it. Hell, Emanuel Newton won the Bellator light heavyweight title by knocking out King Mo via spinning backfist.
As for the fight, it turned out pretty much as I expected, though I was surprised to see Floyd actually finish someone for a change. Connor's out making excuses now & the Connor fan boys actually think it was a close fight. Mostly because they are too stupid to realize Floyd was just letting Connor wear himself out in the first 4 before going to work. Now with a bit of luck, Connor will actually attempt to defend his belt (not a true champion until you defend), get his ass handed to him, then face Diaz, get his ass handed to him & then dissapear just like that other over rated turd Rousey.

Good on him but casual fans making dumb comparisons like that give me the shits. He's no Ali & never will be. The good old Pride days do it for me. You had to be a savage to succeed. Robbie Lawler, Donald Cerrone & either Diaz are the fights I always tune in for these days. I liked Nick since he took out Paul Daley in Bellator & I knew Nate was one to watch from when he wanted to go toe to toe with Karo Parisyan in the TUF house. Love the attitude of all 4 of em. I reckon UFC's prime was UFC 40 to UFC 100. It's mostly gone to shit now.

Good to see all the wannabe heros who've never done a round of padwork or sparing going at it with punch up outside of the venues after a big fight again. I took the little fella for a haircut at about 4:30pm which is right near The Alexander beer garden and the carry on I could hear coming from there was ridiculous. I much prefer to go to Muay Thai fight nights and watch it live as we have some brilliant fighters in WA and Australia and in the dozens that I’ve been to I have never seen any trouble yet the beer flows all night. I put it down to the fact that at least half of the crowd is generally made up of people that are actively training and wearing their gym’s logo etc so there is a lot of mutual respect and the big mouths are too scared to start anything in there.

The only fight won that day was an aboriginal kid can't remember his name who was trained by Tommy Greenwood in Vic Park. Then all the half breed bikies thought they'd have some action with a skinful. Me and my mate sat there having a good chuckle watching them all make arse hats of themselves. I still have the programme hidden away somewhere.
