Craypot build help
Submitted by choppa69 on Tue, 2017-08-29 11:21
Hi guys
I'm looking at building a couple of slat craypots for upcoming season to see if I can knock them out cheaper than buying.
Has anyone got any diagrams/drawings that I could use??
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Mick

I've made a few
For around the 3/4 size these measurements work ok for the Jarrah frame.
If its not a steel base you'll need 3x 600mm for the base
6x 385/400mm for your side frames
And for your top frame 5x @ around 430mm (single bait basket)
I cut all my angles at 15 degrees.
As LJ said, go on the fisheries site, you can go bigger but make sure you follow their specs to a T. If you put it in the too hard basket I've got 8x 3/4 size Jarrah frame steel base ones done ready for the new season @ $175 each.
