The Serpy should be ok but I wouldn't be eating anything from it just to be on the safe side.
Boundary Island should be worth a crack at this time of year.

My best sessions have been
My best sessions have been during the day.
You were fishing right on high tide at 12pm yesterday and I'm assuming there was no river current? I find (in the upper Swan) that the current needs to be moving to get the bream hitting lures. Upriver current is best but I've done well on the outgoing current too.
Half to 3/4 towards the high tide is what I like to aim for which would have been around 7:45am yesterday.

What lures did ya throw? And with the prawns were you using a sinker? Strange that you got nothing whit bait, those systems must be really rooted at the moment.

Some days they are just super
Some days they are just super fussy mate. Was fishing next to a bloke one time using cubes of mulie on 2/0 circle hooks and he was cleaning up on one big bream after another and I was getting SFA on prawns.
Try whole unweighted prawns on a long shank hook to make it look natural and if you are still struggling use a small strip of mulie as well which I found effective as the mulie brings them in to eat the prawn which stays on the hook better. I'll have this sitting in the holder while I flick lures around when shore based but only use lures from the dinghy.

Dang! Sounds like you fished
Dang! Sounds like you fished it hard, i havent fished that system in ages but my advice would be if your using river prawns use the whole prawn minus the last few tail segments on an unweighted hook tied straight to your leader keep the head on and keep it straigh, it'll drift in the current and look natural. I also find in the cooler months placcies work better as the bream are a little less fired up if they aren't on the chew, zman slim swimz or grubz in bloodworm or motor oil are the way to go on a 1/16oz jighead. Im no guru tho but thats what works for me.

High tides best
Try Murray bend to bondys corner strips of fresh mullet or even better blue manner crabs
