Lowarnce Broadband and 3d gps imaging

Just wondering if any one running a lowrance sounder has taken any interest into the new broadband sounder add on , had a look at their site last night and it looks interesting also the 3d imaging gps card which fits the globalmap lowrance series chartplotters which looks to me as a very great idea. Was thinking of changing out both the sounder and chartplotter but now i think ill just grab the broadband add on and wait a month to get the new card for the chartplotter and the free download from lowrance  to run the navionics platnum card

Been looking for a while now. Looks good but so does all product hype around a new release. Was considering handing the 585 back if it is good - Maybe wont spend anymore money tho with the new proposed regs.

Already done the upgrade for the new maps Just to get a new card now.

yeah agree with spending money tim, might be no point now, i think it might be a few months before we start to hear some feedback on the broadband units but certainly seem impressive what i have seen so far

All the new rules will not

All the new rules will not change the future with the upgrades on sounders and gps units no fish will be safe seek and distroy. they should have bard gps right from the begining and there would be heaps of fish left.To think there are amature fisho's with electronics worth more than there boats ,there for one reason to find those fish and wipe them out .i think if everyone was happy with a feed we would't need all this expensive crap we could just drift around and we'd have our feed , as most did before gps came along .

this is not aimed at anyone in this post just my thoughts.

Your scopes sited in, But I agree, Don't you like taking home 12 Dhuie's each week...
But I think banning fishing for certain species in the lead up to chrissie( check the months) is crap, just when people want seafood.

I don't really care, I don't eat it.. thats why I like chasing fish on lures, especially tailor.. but I like to bring a fish now and then for the miss.

Gone are the days of the old

Gone are the days of the old dhufish float which got thrown over the side to get the correct drift back over a lump , but I suppose with the intergration of modern technology into recreational boating it has made it easier for the users to find the same location over again . But with this also comes a responsibility of the user not to over fish and ruin these area's , I use my gps a lot but a lot of the time it is for navigation in and around at night and also to and from the marina's . It comes back to responsibilty of the user , and if the hammer one lump time and time again with out a break of course there will be less fish on that lump , thank god we can catch herring anywhere
