Andy's Article
Submitted by Colin Hay on Thu, 2008-03-27 18:57
Just finished reading Andy Mac's article on using berkley peeler crabs in the latest issue of FWA. Great article Andy. Clear and consise, with plenty of good information and pics (most impressed with how many times the Fishwrecked shirt showed up).
I was just wondering if you could explain your "super snell". It looks like an interesting set-up.
Brad's article on soft plastic in the Pilbara is also a great read. You can see that sp's would be a great addition to anyone's arsenal in the creek's up that way.
Nice work guys,
All the best, Colin Hay

No worries Corza, yeah that was great on my old smaller boat (pre rocket launcher days) for getting the un used rods out of the way. Glad you liked it, thats a Pilbara brad patent that one!

Have tried them a little
Have tried them a little Andy, we landed charlie court, trout, bluebone and i got burned by a big bluebone in about 2 meters of water the same day i landed the 15.5lb mumma last year. Pretty keen to give them another go now that we have finished in the creeks.

I could see them in the background and they looked nice and strong.

Work a treat and can 'set' to any angle. $40 each, but look the goods.

Stirring
Was just stirring Andy - Dont stress. I knew that wasnt your fault or intention. For some reason FWA dont put the photo credits on any articles.
Still say the photos are pretty good tho

"Hey Brad, I will have to
"Hey Brad, I will have to convince you to try those crabs up there if you haven't tried them already, I reckon they would go off on the bluebone and Spanglies. "
Those crabs work well up here, it's just a shame they don't make them in a bigger size as they'd be dynamite on blueys. The current size get picked at by the smaller fish and they don't last long hehe..

Yep
I hear you Jay, one charlie court or fuselier and their gone. Tis a rather expensive way to fish the way the pickers go on them. Still rather effective thou!

It's funny when the pickers
It's funny when the pickers pick all the legs off and you're just using a small round chunk of plastic and stuffs still having a go at it :)
