Headed out
Heading out for whiting this morning.. Got our 60 big sandies and 4 KGs was plenty of boats around for sure.. Fisheries were checking at two rocks so that was good to see.. The 2 boats in front of us got pinned, one for too many wrasse and the other for no fishing licence..

hahaahha if it was at
hahaahha if it was at mindarie, it could of been me, my fish were the ones that were stiff as a board in a stinky bucket, not the bloke gettin done with them in his esky as i was leaving, sounded like a few people were getting caught out. i keep them all the time for crab bait...... haha not anymore, looks like fridays cheap crab bait may now be the priceyest crab bait yet. an still waiting to see what happens with the fine

Yup
Yup 8 wrasse per person.. Part of the near shore category with a combined bag of 16
No idea why it just seems crazy when yellowfin whiting has gone up to 30 per person

Maybe these wrasse keepers
Maybe these wrasse keepers are on to a delicacy we dont know about????? King wrasse meant to be eatable????? I couldnt bare the humiliation of having someone open my esky to find wrasse in there, I always make sure there's none of those big bloody scales on the deck before headin in, christ it's bad enough someone knowing I caught one let alone getting pinged for having too many in the esky lol

their flesh is as white as you will ever see
make great bait etc, if people want to clear them out let them, not for me, Muldy likes those red and white types, more of a parrot fish I think

Wrasse
Last year they were a 30 limit this year they are moved to the category above 8 fish per person. This is all wrasse red white green pink brown doesn't matter what type or colour they are they are all in it. They are different from parrot fish but they are classed together. Why I've got no idea but rules are rules.
