lobster fishing please help?

hi guys i live in the south west busselton/dunsborough areas i am looking at trying for some lobsters this seasons but dont know were to drop a couple of pot and what bait to use if there is anyone out there that could steer me in the right direction i would be grateful thanks

Not worth the effort in the bay. You get a few at Peppys beach, but that gets smashed by divers. The best area is on the west coast, just out of Canal Rocks is pretty productive. Just be careful of the swell and have plenty of rope on your pots.
As for bait tuna heads or orange ruffys are the best, but can be expensive. Herring or salmon works pretty well and is free.

Seaquest has hit the nail on the head,we wouldnt put pots from the east side of bunker {east} for that reason diver,we use to get afue allong the cliff up and around the cape ,but canel is the go,we use to use blue mackeral and orange ruffy

As the others say
don't bother in the bay. I had pots out from the quarries at bunkers a couple of years ago and only got berried females npothing else so don't bother there. Go west coast mate, launch at canals and try out from yalls. It's popular but productive.

Canal rocks
Launch at Canal Rocks and either head around to the front of the rocks or head north towards the Indicators [3 x rocks that stick out of the water ]half way across the bay towards Torpedo rocks
