Nice rig for sure. Noticed

Nice rig for sure. Noticed you have the rear transom painted but not the sides. Will the sides be done later, or is that part of the intended look?

I see a 'fish' in the second picture already ;). Biiig one too. Haha.

not sure still thinking something like that or something realy different need to have a good look, the rocket launchers worked out that way as they were too tall on the floor as the cab is raised but they have come up well

Mate a lot of work has gone into that, well done.

Amazing what can be done if you put your mind to it, just looked  at the progress shots on your build thread and where it all started.

How long is it?

How do you find the QL trimtabs?

Cheers.

Coral Bay

Tue, 2012-05-08 20:39

G'day Dan

The boat has come along way since your original post of the build....looks great as it is....will look even better with blood all over the deck

Good luck with your trip to Coral Bay...may the roads be clear, the skies blue and the ocean a glass off while you're there.

Best of luck backing this baby down the side of #2 Marlin Crt.

Look forward to reading your reports from CB....have a safe trip.

regards

Parking at #2

Wed, 2012-05-09 18:45

Hey Dan, I know the Trailblazer fits ok at #2, so if you want to swap boats for the trip, I'd be happy to oblige.

I'll even leave the GPS in the boat....it's got a guaranteed 'Red' spot already loaded for you

Tie downs

Wed, 2012-05-09 19:07

I know you have got some top stuff in your design but I am really impressed with the tie down points on the transom. Fantastic location.

 They are called boat buckle

Wed, 2012-05-09 22:32

They are called boat buckle g2 eBay about $100 from USA not stainless but I figured that if I have to replace them every few years and it saves the paint when it gets painted from straps rubbing and I'm more likely to strap it down because it is so easy to do just release the strap it self retracts then hook on and ratchet up easy and always mounted to the trailer
