we call it, south side off the cut, ocean side there is a small canal that was to be developed years ago as a hotel site (I think).
At the entrence to the cut with a small cast into the middle of the opening we have scored heaps of size KGs over the years. However outnumbered 100-1 by blowies. Be prepared for them so a long shank hook and pliers to remove the bloody blowies.

its full of them, pity you cant fish there, see a few off the north wall in close, too many blowies but

Yep, ive caught them (years ago) at the cut. Came home with half dozen 35cm+ which made braving the cold morning worth while.
