land based Albany

So I'm stuck in Albany for a few days with a tacklebox and a four foot ugly stick.  Thought I might do a bit of landbased fishing if i get some spare time.  Can anyone tell me  a good jetty or rockwall to go off and what i'd be targeting?

Cheers

Tim

The channel at Emu point, jetty at Middleton beach (south end) or the town jetty. Emu point is where I'd start check the tide as it fair rip's through there. Herring, Skippy and a possibility of juvenile salmon amybe a larger model if ya lucky. the jetty at Middleton beach could have anything swimming around will need to burley up as the bottom is sand. The town jetty will hold ya normal species and possibily squid. Can get some big skippy hanging around jetty structures inside the harbour. Good luck

It's been a fair few years since i've been back. I know that there was/has been some upgrades to the foreshore but i use to go where the fishing boats were moored. Must still be a jetty along that part of the shore line, this is where some of the long liners and deep fishing boats would come into. As for Middleton beach jetty i don't remember any lights but that may have changed aswell.
