It can be good but........
The main source of the hot water was Kwinana Power Station. Thats now shut down and only the Gas fired power stations either side use the sea water for cooling so the actual hot water coming out isn't hot anymore.
Still structure around there though that creates some interest.

my brother is a commercial diver and saw heaps of snapper there
around this time last year so we took the boats out there and got some nice big pinkies 80 - 90cm+ size it was on sundown morning might even be better. Anchor just to the side of the flowing warm water put down some whole snelled scaley mackeral and wait. we mixed up some pollard and threw it over the side then gardies, skippy, herring yellowtail one after the other on those baitchaser rigs with a bit of prawn. some young landbased fisho's kayaked their baits out to the spot and got pinkies as well it was going off im sure the pinkies would be hanging around there now

From where you wouldn't want
From where you wouldn't want to eat the fish that you catch from there!
I've been having a lot of fun there with the salmon - catch /release.

Pretty sure
its all fenced, private property! When in once years ago when plant was operating! Saw a few massive Taylor caught before guys rocked up!
its the turn off after the navel base pub, across the bridge and towards the water, right towards the power station then follow it around! Was great for an arvo fish with 4x4 on the beach! But I believe that's not allowed any more, park and walk.
best chance would be from boat.

That would make sense to me know, cool water to put through the condensers comes out hot. Used the fish the hot water outlet at the old South Fremantle power station when that was running, could always get a feed then. Sometimes saw people fishing the Dampier PS outlet when I worked there back in 2010-2011 but the warm water there was added to the already warm water, so I don't know how that fished. Plus we chlorinated the sea water coming in so critters couldn't grow on the condensers.

Be aware its roughly a 300m exclusion zone from shore along the coast from kwinana beach jetty up to the boat ramp near the cockburn shacks.
