Keen to FISH! but need a camping spot!?

Hey all. Mates and I have recently got right into fishing and I can say we are addicted! was wondering if anyone could provide some camping spots with good fishing? Went up near wedge island a year ago but i hear you cant go there anymore? looking for somewhere thats not too far from perth for fish off rocks or beach or jetty and can camp for a couple of nights. dogs is a bonus to give the kelpie a good run around but not a necessity..

Heaps of spots all along the northern coast.
I am sure there are still places around Wedge where you can pitch a tent. Moore river is a great spot. You can camp at the park or head up the beach some. Plenty of options south of there also.
Please if you head up that way respect the environment and others who frequent the area. Take your rubbish home and don't cut loose on the tracks in and out.

had a discussion with a ranger about the camping rules up at wedge recently. The line between camping and fishing isnt very clear so basically it comes down to your attitude, keep the area clean, dont piss anyone off and treat the place with respect and you wont have any probs I reckon. Same goes for a heap of other beaches. That said if you set up camp right next to wedge island its probably gonna attract a bit of attention, maybe head up or down the beach a bit.

you cant camp in the dunes around wedge,well unless the ranger cant find you....
