Dampier
As mentioned there is a bit of info floating around, but if you wanna get specific:
During my time in karratha/Dampier i fished a few places with relative success. There is a small marina on the right hand side on the way to east intercourse island in Dampier, reverse "F" shaped. If you fish the tip of the top end (right to the end then all the way on the left, as in the marina entrance) fish off the right hand side of the end there.
There is some deeper water there, for this time of the year try get some live bait out under a float cos there are small school makkies, queenies and trevors going up and down on a good tide during mornings. Also berley up into the rocks below and there are big bream hanging round, berley to feed the pickers then drop down a whole prawn.
When it warms up, that spot holds good jacks and malabar cod at night.
If you have a half decent 4x4, there is a spot past the natural boat ramp on the burrup past the gas plant. If you head past the boat ramp and follow the 4x4 track up the rocks, you eventually pass an old gate, you head through this, then when the road opens up to mangroves, you take the left and keep heading left there is a spot to the left "south" of those mangroves. Good spot for bluebone, trevs, sweetlip but a bit of a hastle to get there.
I found the area a bit tricky for landbased fishing, i found its very inconsistent but you could get a feed most times. Hope that helps!
