I'm going up there next monday, I think that Jacks are pretty rare up there but idk, I think those lures will be fine. Some good lures will probs be some vibes softys, but not to sure on the muddy water.

Jacks are under the jetty if you can tempt them, seen people (myself included) being smoked by one. Just keep your drag tight and drag them straight out, they feel like a reasonable size aswell, they'd take an SX60 or livebait before anything else gets close. Orange lures are the go up there apparently

Switchblades work around the pylons there, try the second jetty and not the main town jetty if you can flick lures up against there, more quality fish IMO as it is harder to access

 105-135 roosta in Baitfish

Mon, 2011-04-18 18:42

105-135 roosta in Baitfish are your standard popper, any bait works up there, prawns would be the best though because you cna can catch mullet on them,

and then scrap bait and use the mullet you have caught. Mullet spots are the main jetty and the bay side at chinamons

for the bream and soapies, head 12km downstream to a place called castle rock, consistant catches of 40cm bream there, and soapies around the 40cm mark but they get up to 80+cm there. Use a strip bait for them, and also, just use a fillet off the mullet for tailor/mulloway. Your better off to ask the locals as they know better than I do, but if you can get to the other side to this place called fustrations reef for anything big.
