We have fishes quite alot from jurien and in that size boat you would really need to pick your days to go out side the reef as the swell is not nice at times, but fishing inside the back reef you can still get a smorgasboard of ish for dinner just have to look around mate but get a chart as the reef system can be tricky.

hey Tim,

You should speak to the tacklestore up there they will direct you in the right direction

last time i was there, i was directly in front of the jetty, we anchored close to a craypot, burley up and caught our limit of snook, skippy. we caught quite a few snapper too but all were >35cms

and went across to the island i think and caught a bucket of whiting..

allways get what they call bay snapper in the bay,my best every dhuy trip was in 10 metres inside the reef.
Fast fish rule!

Tim stay inside the reef,try heading out the north passage go over towards the high cliff there is a channel about 15 metres deep try drifting through this area I picked up a 8kg Dhuie last August and some Black Ass behind Favourite Island. Talk to the locals they will help you out.
