If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Book

The best books to buy for local fish and sharks is  Sea Fishes of Southern Australia by Barry Hutchins and Roger Swainson, retails for about $30 plus   Marine Fishes of tropical Australia and South East Asia by Gerry Allen or use Fishwreckapedia

Best book for southern Oz fish! Great drawings and great descriptions. My old man made sure I had a copy of it. He swore by it and gave me a Copy many years ago. To be honest it's sitting in front of me right now. I was looking for something the other night. I wish they would bring out a new version with the updated info of the record catches of both line and spear. The last reprint in my book was 1996. It would be interesting to see how much has changed since then.
