We did pretty well on them in the sound a few weeks ago, fished the ground between the coat hanger and the musselfarm. Had to move around a fair bit tho to find the schools of bigger ones.

Read Ryans article in the mag
And read betwen the lines as well - we have been doing really well drifting gravelly bottoms in 35 metres near to the eadge of reefs (if you dive you would know how often large KGS are seen in close proximity to reef but usually 20-30 metres clear of it)
Snooded 1/0's about 50mm apart on light neutral coloured trace (20lb) with carefully skinned occy ( I skin in the comfort of my kitchen and place all the worm like white tenacles in a small plastic container for ease of rebaiting) but it MUST be kep really cold of it goes a shade of pink and is then crap.
Oddly last few trips before the closure we hooked up with BIG dhuies on the said same rig - lost a few horses due to the light gear but the best went 17 on the bathroom scales - great bycatch when targetting KGW
Hope this helps break the jinx
