How often do you replace line on game reels

Hey guys, I'm sort of new to the game fishing side of things and want to know how often you should replace your line on your game reels.
I've got a Penn International 50TW that I have used for the last two seasons now having caught/lost multiple marlin on it and I don't know whether I should replace it.
It looks fine but I know looks can be deceiving. I would be interested to hear others thoughts on this.
Cheers,
James

Depends how confident you are
Depends how confident you are in it and whether the risk of it breaking is worth it for you. Any reels I have mono on just have a mono topshot, so I only need to replace some of the line. For the cost of the line (6th of a spool or something) I prefer knowing its all good, specially if it would be chasing billies rather than smaller fish that are more common.

Good point hlokk
I am going to end up getting replacing the line this time round, definitely wouldnt want to lose a good fish because of it!
I do always replace my mono topshot after each trip on my other reels as I do with my wind on leader on my International, just havent got into the habbit of replacing the main line.
I pretty much use I use it twice a year chasing billfish, don't see the need in replacing it after each trip??

Varies a bit for me. I replace my 2, 3 and 4kg before every comp. 6 and 8 every year. Anything heavier depending on usage but usually every year. Anyone that says Braided lines are expensive should try spooling 10 reels with IGFA mono for a weeks fishing...
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Replace my line once a year
Replace my line once a year or after a good session depends on the pressure it got put through, rather change line than loose that big bill of a life time.
I actually fish.
