Hillarys this Saturday

Hey all,
Heading down to Hillarys boat harbour this weekend, probably Saturday morning around 9ish, never been there before, so will try out different parts of the N and S groyne.
Anyone heading down there on Sat? Any suggestions for good fishing spots over at Hillarys?
Targeting Skippy, Tarwhine, Herring, Gar Fish, Tailor, hopefully some Pinkies and what ever else takes my bait! Taking some prawns, baby mullies, got some herring fillets, might take some squid, soft plastics and lures
anything else? lol
Sort of a newbie at this type of fishing. Any help would be great.
Cheers

i might just take the kitchen sink lol
haha ... oh ok...i wanted to go fri sat and sun..but can only make it sat atm...i was lookin at some burley today..was thinkin of making my own..some chiken fat and tuna oil or something...not sure...
the north wall sounds good..not sure which side tho...cast towards the end of the south groyne...or more to the right of that..at the moment it says eastly winds then changes to south..south westerly winds in the avo...i heard behind aqwa is good...and the end of the south groyne is good..casting towards the lighthouse..
too many choices haha, i think i might stick to one area..instead of moving around too much..might just miss the fish! lol thanks derp, might just bump into you one of these days :)

might be down on saturday
might be down on saturday afternoon for 2-3 hours, at the disabled platform. prety sure DieHard is fishing too. plenty of herring around with tailor hanging around. dropped a salmon last weekend off the platform too. burley will help your catches significantly. always good to have a big rod sitting out with a bait ready for something big. good luck, might see you down there :)

Went fishing on the beach,
Went fishing on the beach, it was a great night as it was expected but the problem was that after letting down the tyres and finding a alternate track to get on the beach cos most of it was washed away. an hour later I get on the beach. Perfect conditions. It was dark by this time so stoked up the fire pit with a heap of jarrah to get ready for a cold night. I threw out my first bate, left it for 10 mins and brought in... wait for it 20kg yes thats right a 20kg.... and then the next cast same again... another 20kg...
your probably thinking a 20kg what?????
Seaweed fish.
I just gave up and kicked back with a beer and few family members and a warm fire.
The moral is that even if all the conditions are right it still does not guarentee fish.
But still a great night to get out for a while
