hds 5 water temp problem

I'm having problems with my hds 5. I've taken it out for a run on the river and seems the transducer is working well except for the water temp is showing 33-34 degrees. Is there something that needs to be calibrated or could there be something wrong with the transducer or unit??

cheers

my temp on the transom mount

my temp on the transom mount seems to work fine, there was only around a 0.4C difference between my dive computer and the sounder.
I can't think of any reason for the big difference with yours, it's not getting hit with the tell tail cooling water from the outboard is it?

nah mine was good from the get go. Have you selected your transducer from the menu on the unit? Maybe it thinks it's getting its info from the wrong model of transducer? That's all I can come up with
