IMO everyone should have a go with a big handline to get a proper feel of the power some fish and sharks can produce. Makes you work for your fish.

my grandad used to use them all the time
catching everything from snapper to herring
they were excellent around quobba beacsue u could use 100 pound lines and just just pull the fish out, no chance of gettin stuck in a rock
