Hey,
My Partener and I are going to Hamelin bay for five days and West Bay for another five days over Xmas.
I am taking my new Nissan Navara and My little Tinny, I am going to try and do some crabbing in the black wood and chase some black bream also.
i was just wondering what my options would be in hamelin bay as i have never been the before.
I have herd the beach fishing can be good but apart from that iam not sure.
Any info or tips on these areas would be great.
Cheers Guys Dave

Hamelin bay ramp is shite, be
Hamelin bay ramp is shite, be careful.
Good fishing in close tho, plenty of Skippy, herring BIG squid, probably a few resident salmon hang around the place, shallow water sambo's plenty of pike and yellow tail kings too. All pretty close to shore as well, just find the reefs directly out from the ramp...all of 500-750m away

Ramp
As Bodie says, the ramp can be dangerous as its open to any sort of swell.
Good fishing inside the reef and don't forget to try around the lumps south of the island, there is a narrow channel inside the island but safer to go round.
