Guilderton/Moore River advice

Got some time in lieu and im thinking of going to Guilderton/Moore river for the weekend. Just wondering if anyone lives nearby or have been recently and can give a report on the weed (if there is any)

I know north of the groyne/lighthouse does alright, but south has some deep guttersd and some ok breaks judging by google maps. I got a ford ranger but my rubber isnt the best for sand, but i should be able to get close to most areas. Probably going to fish about 4oz of lead and use some mullet strips and bring some light gear for whiting.

The mulloway itch is pretty bad after coming back from Kalbarri.

Any advice on the current conditions or sandtracks would be appreciated :)

 Can't comment on the weed

Can't comment on the weed situation but if you've got easterlies for a day or two it'll clear out, vise versa with strong onshore or southerly winds.

As for spots you cant drive south of the lighthouse to the river mouth unless you come up from wilbinga side.

Be very careful if you drive the beach north of lighthouse, can be a prick of a stretch and really soft at times

yeah i saw that there was no easy SOR access. Not to worry.

As for hitting the sand, i might just stick to the track, pull up somewhere where its semi compact and walk the difference. keep it safe.

Thanks :)

Haven't been up in a while so I'm not sure how accessible the track is. Last I heard it was pretty overgrown

I was up the road a little further and the beach was crystal clear, and no weed.

 Update:

Madora bay was producing small mulloway, all about 25-35cms and some tailor, with only one legal size at 34cms taken home for breakfast.

Guilderton was weeded out and i turned around to fish Club Cap and was getting picked to death by tarwhine and whiting.

will try again this weekend around some more metro areas.....

We were up there the weekend

We were up there the weekend before last and had a small soapy (450mm ish) free jumping and splashing in front of the boat. Tried to net it to take a look though it turned at the last minute and swam away.

Was a healthy looking fish though didn't see anything else alive.
