Great day off Two Rocks

Had an amazing day on the water yet again. Was asked by a couple of work mates from eastern states to guide them on there first trip out of Perth. Left Two Rocks around 5:30 and streight to one of my go to spots to see if I could get them there first Dhuy. Well almost every drop resulted in quality fish with with multiple 8 to 10 kg Dhuys coming aboard almost every drift. All were brought up slowly and released well. Kept 2 and decided to head out for a troll out wide. These guys were set up for serious game fishing but I had my doubt about any results to be honest. But to my amazement after two hours of trolling one reel started to scream like I've never heard before. I was told to grab the rod and hang on. So I did. Then to my amazement a 250kg ( there estimate) blue marlin leaps clear of the water 50mtrs behind the boat. 300mtrs of line peeled of at high speed until suddenly everything went slack. It was gone and so was the lure. I was absolutly stunned at what just happened. Didn't even care that we missed the fish I was just in shock at what just happened. Trolled for another few hours with no results but didn't even care. My day was perfect and these guys were so appreciative of being put onto some good fish. Defiantly one for the books.
