the key
The key is to use your sounder to find some good ground and gain on that. If your sounder isnt up to it ie a Furuno etc then maybe looking at upgradeing. Using "Bottom Lock" and "Bottom SHIFT" allows you to monitor the ocean floor when traveling at 5-8knots, very effective in searching for ground/fish/flairs.
Mandurah is fairly flat for a long way out but plenty of ground flair ups and little pinnicles that would be a good start indeed with a good sounder.
