Good start to the Season

Had a great day out today. First day of the demersal season. 4 crays on the way out (7 day pull) & a beautiful 77 cm Dhuie. A lovely light west wind to stir up the fish. Its nearly always a good day for fishing at Mandurah when the witch of the west comes stealin.
Now I know there are plenty of guys on this site who catch dhuies regularly. But for me it's a rare prize. 2 or 3 a year.

Was a good day out - Full house in point peron carpark, but not bad on the ramps.
Heard lots of misery over the VHF though, so hopefully everyone got home ok.

Yep
As I was comming in, two police boats & the volenteer rescue flew past me in the opposite direction. I assume someone was in trouble.

Top eatn that lot, what depth was the dhu pulled from?
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Good work in a tinny.Well done mate. I'm busting for a fish. Working on a drilling rig at the moment and watching huge Trevors smashing the bait schools.
Love the West!

You poor Man
I gather you can see the fish from you're work place. That must be torture.
