Good day out

Headed out for a fish today in suposedly decent conditions. Headed out about 6:30 to one of our spots . With 3 of us on board and after a couple of drifts with only 1 cuttlie on board one of the deckies got an urgent call and had to come in and get dropped off. Then there were 2 . Headed back out but within only a few minuits the wind turned and picked right up so we decided to chase some sand whiting . Headed out only a couple of miles and found them biting. In the end we got a great feed between us. Certainly better than doing the garden.

was heaps out there from mandurah. got some good ones but plenty of small ones still swimming, and them damn tiny lizards hurt when you cop a spike.

It's a bit of stuffing around with the whiting fillets, but I rate this recipe with whiting. I first had it in China and had to find out how to make it. You can chuck a bit of mild miso in it with some sezchuan peppercorns if you want more punch.
