Got a few chips in the gel coat that we need repaired, has anyone had this done before and can give an indication of the costs involved?
Cheers

Did a few gelcoat repairs a while ago now Ben so I can't remember the complete cost but it was cheap all things considered. It was more time consuming than anything with lots of prep involved & loads of different grit sandpaper. Like patching a wall with plaster I applied the coat evenly knowing that when it dries it will shrink so the process needed to be repeated, better than trying to sand it back even

Thanks fellas, should have been a bit more specific I guess... I'm looking to see if anyone has got someone to do the work for them.
We've had a crack at it but like you said lamby it's taking hell long to get done and we're thinking if the cost is anywhere reasonable we'll look to get someone doing it for us. Just don't have the time required to do it.

Ended up getting in touch
Ended up getting in touch with site sponsor Cobalt Blue and they quoted around $560 to repair 7-8 chips between 1cm-3cm squared which seemed pretty reasonable to me so we've booked the boat in. Will post the results once it's tidied up early October.
