Gear for medium to large species
Hi guys, back again with another beginner question..
I have been wanting to go fishing for bigger species (tailor, mulloway, stingrays even, or anything else), my plan is to grab some baitfish and just chuck it live/frozen, but problem being my rod is only a 3-5kg rod, with the reel spooled with 10lb nanofil. Im not yet going for the giants, but if i can kill two birds with 1 stone by buying new gear well why not. I would only be land based so going to places such as north/south moles, eshed, well thats pretty much all i know so far anyway. So question is, what size rod and reel should i really get along with what size line ? some brands or even models would be awesome, but just general info would be great for me so i can know where to start.
I tried searching through the forum by the way, but just keeps on coming up with mulloway catches

how much you want to spend
get a penn ss spinfisher 650 - 750 15lb line and a rod to match this is a great reel and cheap too we used them for catching mackeral on pro boats they never die and handle salt and sand where a stella would curl up and cry
i use them for everything should be able to pick up a combo for around $120 - 150 if you look around a bit
