Full Moon Surprise

Well after a week off work, and the wind OK. Not the tide and moon for a arvo/evening fish.

Headed West from Dampier and found the spot. Fish on sounder but not what you would call a bonanza.

Then hell broke out. Every drop a fish. Bagged out on Blueline and Black Snaps in 20mins. Then as we still wanted to fish only kept other species. As it was evening/night the price fish like trout wasnt on the menu, but after 2 hours, a further bag out on big Flag (which we love and target --Horror horror) decided well what now.

It just was a fish a drop, whatever we used got nailed. Tested some thoeries on old bait, no didnt matter, nailed.

Low tide and full (ish) moon normally I would have thought social fish, but this was stella, and the stella 10T SW finally got to sing a little, just to reveal a 3-4ft Blacktip.

Has anyone else experienced stella days when you wouldnt have thought so.

Today going for a squid, to much fish in the fridge. Dont freeze our fish, gives us a reason to eat fresh and go again. But with 2 days to go fishing wise, bagged out on white fillets, its time for a target change. Squid and sportsfish on the menu. Watch out Queenies, here come the fly wand.
