Fortescue Roadhouse reopening?
Looks like Citic are planning to reopen Fortescue Roadhouse, they've installed a solar microgrid for the camp which is only sporadically used as well as EV fast charging.
It'd probably be the only remote EV charger thats not diesel powered
"CPM Chairman Chen (Sam) Sui said the project reflects a broader shift towards more sustainable operations:
“This is a small but important step in our wider mission to make Sino Iron a green, intelligent mining operation.”
In addition to the microgrid, CPM has also partnered with Horizon Power to install an EV charging station at the Fortescue Roadhouse.
As part of Horizon’s WA EV Network, the fast-charging station supports cleaner transport along one of the state’s key regional corridors.
With the project now completed, we’ll also be going to market shortly to seek a roadhouse operator, with the aim of reopening the facility to motorists later this year."
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

With the range of most cars
With the range of most cars nowadays it is in between fuel stops for most people.
I think we have only ever stopped there once in 30 years and that was for a bite to eat.

We certainly stopped there
We certainly stopped there for chips and a photo, not for fuel.
